Nasrallah: There are no red lines when it comes to defending Lebanon against Israel

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah declared Tuesday that Lebanese respects the UN resolution 1701, noting that Hezbollah is part of the cabinet that respects this decision.

In a speech delivered on the occasion of Day of Ashoura (10th of Muharram), Nasrallah stressed that if Israel bombs or sends drones to Lebanon, the Lebanese people have the right to defend their nation and its sovereignty.

“I will repeat that if any attack targets Lebanon, this aggression will be responded to appropriately and there will be absolutely no red lines in this regard, Lebanon today is stronger in its stances,” he stated.

The Shiite party chief pointed out that the Lebanese thwarted the Israeli attempt to change the rules of the conflict since 2006, adding that the Israeli army turned into a “Hollywood army” since it became incompetent on the ground.

Nasrallah stressed commitment to the rights of the Palestinian people as noble refugees in Lebanon who wish to return to their nation and are working towards this end.

Hezbollah chief also tackled the issue of the US sanctions, stating that these measures are an aggression launched by the US administration to apply financial and economic pressure after the wars waged by its Zionist entity against the Resistance in Lebanon and Palestine failed, as well as the mediation wars waged through Takfiri groups in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.

On the economic crisis, he considered that the economic situation in Lebanon is not hopeless, explaining that finding solutions needs concerted efforts, with the recovery of stolen public funds on top of the options to resolve the financial situation.

On another note, Nasrallah rejected any war plan against Iran, announcing that it would destroy nations and peoples; adding that any war would be the end of Israel and the end of the American influence and presence in the region.
