Bahraini police arrests citizens over Manama protests

Witnesses said on Saturday that a number of citizens were injured while others were arrested by Bahraini security forces on the backdrop of protests that took place on Friday night in Shiite villages close to Manama.

Protestors took the streets upon the request of the February 14 Youth Coalition in protest to the security siege imposed by the Bahraini police.

Witnesses added that dozens of men and women held Bahraini flags and pictures for the arrestees and chanted slogans against Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
