Bassam Abou Zeid, Jean Feghali submit testimonies in lawsuit filed against them by MP Aoun

Attorney General to the Prosecutor Nada al-Asmar heard the testimonies of colleagues Jean Feghali and Bassam Abou Zeid on Wednesday in the lawsuit filed against them by General Michel Aoun who accused them of publishing the minutes of investigations into the shooting incident which targeted his “fake convoy” in Sidon.

In the presence of their attorney Paul Awwad, both Feghali and Abou Zeid denied having published or had access to the official minutes of investigations which were conducted at the ISF’s information branch.

“The news report pertaining to this case was based on information taken from reliable official sources,” they said adding that Aoun received these pieces of information days before the report was published.
