Jbara to LBCI: Sole solution for medicine shortage is by finding new credit lines

The head of the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Importers Karim Jbara said on Tuesday that the sole solution for the medicine shortage is by finding new credit lines.

“We need permissions from the Central Bank to import medicines,” he added during an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV show.

Jbara stressed that priority should be given to the country’s health sector.

He concluded by saying that some importing companies have orders that are ready and only need the approval and credit lines from the Central Bank.
