IMF delegation arrives in Lebanon
The International Monetary Fund delegation arrived in Lebanon on Monday, led by Ernesto Ramirez, the new head of mission who will take over his duties early next year, following Martin Cerisola.

The delegation will meet Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail on Tuesday morning as part of a multi-day visit that will include discussions with senior officials and members of the ministerial committee in charge of negotiations with the Fund.

A tour d'horizon will be held on all topics and strategies before an expanded mission will come at the beginning  of next year to negotiate details of the expected economic and financial recovery program with Lebanon.

This as Deputy Prime Minister Saadeh al-Shami said that "the Lebanese government is working seriously on this program and has made significant progress in this field, noting that the Fund has underlined on multiple occasions its willingness to assist Lebanon in overcoming its current crisis."
