WHO: Increasing land access to Gaza is the only thing that prevents famine

The Director-General of the World Health Organization said on Thursday, that increasing access to aid through land crossings to Gaza is the only way to prevent famine in the densely populated Palestinian territory.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, "Recent efforts to deliver food by air and sea are welcome, but increasing the entry of aid through land crossings alone will enable the delivery of assistance on a wide scale to avert famine."
