Families of Lebanese students abroad stage new sit-in
The families of Lebanese students in universities abroad staged on Thursday a sit-in outside the Banque du Liban, blocking the road leading from the Central Bank towards the Hamra area, amid the deployment of the Internal Security Forces and the Lebanese Armed Forces.

The families stressed that they will stay in the streets until Governor of the Banque du Liban Riyad Salameh issues a circular allowing them to transfer money to their children at the 1500 LBP exchange rate.

This as a scuffle erupted between protesters and a passerby who objected to the roadblock, but protesters refused to open the road and said they would not leave the street until their demands were met.
