Mikati: We are striving to stop collapse
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Friday that he is “striving to stop the collapse,” stressing need to solve numerous social concerns, as well as to organize the living matters of the Lebanese people and wages, in order to start the rescue process and revive Lebanon.

Mikati’s comments were made during the launch of a touristic campaign in the northern city of Tripoli.

"We have assumed responsibility and the country is in a state of complete bankruptcy, and what we are doing today is transforming the country from bankruptcy to insolvency, hoping to stop the collapse,” Mikati added.

“We are aware of the existing crises, and we know what inflation has done at all levels, as well as political conflicts which prevents many solutions,” he stressed.

He also emphasized the importance of joining the efforts of the people of Tripoli and their unity to advance the city and to advertise it as a tourism destination, in light of the tourist boom that Lebanon is experiencing thanks to the efforts of Caretaker Tourism Minister Walid Nassar.
