Ministerial statement drafting committee holds second meeting

The ministerial statement drafting committee held its second meeting on Thursday evening at the Grand Serail at around 6:30 pm under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tammam Salam.

The session was also attended by the seven members: State Minister for Parliamentary affairs Mohammad Fneish, Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil, Health Minister Wael Abou Faour, Labor Minister Sajaan Azzi, Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouq and Telecommunications Minister Boutros Harb.

In this regard, Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil said he expected one or two more sessions to be held in order to draft the ministerial statement, stressing that “there are no obstacles so far”.

In turn, Telecommunications Minister Boutros Harb rejected the People-Army-Resistance formula, stressing the need to adhere to the dissociation policy.
