Security forces search for inmate who escaped Roumieh prison
Lebanese security forces are still searching on Tuesday for the third prisoner Muhannad Abdel Rahman who escaped on Monday from the Roumieh prison.

Abdel Rahman, a Syrian national accused of theft-related crimes, had fled alongside two other inmates, Mohammad al-Jouni and Said Sabra, who were arrested by the security forces.

It is worth noting that inmates who escaped the prison are accused of killing Lebanese Armed Forces officer, Rayan Al-Jurdi, during the robbery of BLOM Bank Elissar's branch in 2012.

Roumieh, the oldest and largest of Lebanon's overcrowded prisons, has witnessed sporadic prison breaks in recent years.
