Wahhab from Rabieh: Lebanon will face a more challenging phase

Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun held a meeting on Wednesday with Arab Tawhid Party leader Wiam Wahhab in Rabieh.

Following the meeting, Wahhab said the upcoming phase may be more critical than the current one, noting that regional developments may compel the security forces and the Lebanese army to boost their measures.

"Missions awaiting the security apparatuses and the military are tougher than any previous ones," Wahhab warned.

On another note, Wahhad said he discussed with MP Aoun several files, mainly issues related to citizens and how to grant them their wages.

"We hope the parliament would provide the legal cover for Finance Minister [Ali Hassan Khalil] so that he can manage to pay the salaries of civil servants," he said.

"We also hope the salary scale draft law would be endorsed by parliament," Wahhab added.
