Minister Harb: Grand Serail remains sole center for executive authority

Telecommunications Minister Boutros Harb said that the Grand Serail remains the main center for Lebanon's executive authority, hoping that the country "will keep moving forward for a better future."

During a ceremony held at the Grand Serail to launch the Telecommunications Ministry’s Digital Vision for 2020, Minister Harb noted that Lebanon has been struggling, while a number of opinion leaders are busy with their battles over authority, power and personal gains.

“We reduced the prices and activated cooperation between the ministry and Ogero in order to launch pending projects,” he added.

However, he pointed out that working in a transitional government has made the ministry’s duties more complicated, noting that they did not start from scratch, but used the studies already available at the ministry to offer the current services.

“16% of Lebanon’s areas are now covered with 4G,” he stated.
