Three people killed, others injured in Ain el-Helweh clashes
Three people were killed and others were injured on Monday night as clashes erupted between the Jund al-Sham group and the Fatah Movement inside the Ain el-Helweh Palestinian refugee camp.

Some residents fled the camp, fearing the security situation, the state-run National News Agency noted reported.

Future bloc MP Bahia Hariri contacted Fatah official Sobhi Abou Arab and Islamist leader Abou Sharif Aql, urging them contain the situation.

The camp had witnessed several similar security incidents in recent months.

Ain el-Helweh, the largest Palestinian camp in Lebanon, is home to about 50,000 refugees and is widely known to harbor fugitives.

By convention, the Lebanese army does not enter Lebanon's 12 refugee camps, leaving security inside to the Palestinians themselves.
