Jreissaty: We will keep up contacts with the detainees’ relatives

Labor Minister Salim Jreissaty stated in a press conference held on Friday that the committee in charge of the Lebanese detainees’ case convened to discuss the committee’s mission and settle the priorities, stressing that this mission is limited to all the Lebanese abductees.

Jreissaty emphasized that the Lebanese government cares about all Lebanese citizens, no matter where they are and does not abandon them. He added that necessary efforts are being exerted by all concerned ministries, mainly the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs, to solve this issue.

The minister explained that the committee has “a coordinating mission”, adding that it will keep President Sleiman and PM Mikati updated.
