LBCI ranked first during Ramadan, preparing new grid with more surprises
LBCI was ranked first during the holy month of Ramadan, according to statistics conducted by “Stat Ipsos”. In fact, a number of series and programs aired during this holy month achieved high viewing rates, confirming that it chose diverse TV programs to suit the taste of viewers.         

To continue on the path of success, the channel is launching a grid that will include an array of new TV programs and series as of August 20 and during the fall season. In addition to this, LBCI is preparing for new surprises to add to the “LBCI Drama” channel that it launched recently as the first Lebanese channel dedicated to drama to support the Lebanese drama production. As for the news department, LBCI is adopting a new strategy based on live coverage and a news bulletin that tackles the Lebanese citizens’ concerns, rights and causes.       

The new LBCI grid will air the third season of the charitable singing program “Celebrity Duets” with new stars, celebrities and humanitarian projects.             

Turkish Star Perrin SAT will continue its fight against rape and the injustice it was subject to by the “Rachdan family” in part II of the Turkish drama series “Fatma”. Lebanese star Carmen Lebbos will be co-starring a new Lebanese series entitled “al-Qinaa” (The mask) along with drama and comedy stars Georges Chalhoub and Georges Khabbaz. As for the star of the Turkish series “Assi”, he will be the play the role of a prince in the Turkish drama “’Oshq wa Jazaa’” (Love and Penalty).     

A new reality TV show entitled “Safha Jdideh” will be launched as of September 2nd following the evening news bulletin, in addition to the launching of the second season of “Ahla Jalseh”, a hit TV show hosted by Tony Baroud, as of Tuesday August 28.          

The people’s political and social concerns will be highlighted once again with media figure Marcel Ghanem who will resume his hit weekly show “Kalam Ennas” as of Thursday August 30. Furthermore, Malik Maktabi’s “Ahmar Bel Khatt El Arid”will be resumed as of Wednesday September 5 in addition to singing program “The voice” and the new version of Miss Lebanon at the end of September.        


LBCI opens “a new page”          

LBCI will be broadcasting a new reality TV show entitled “Safha Jdideh”  (A New Page) as of Sunday September 2nd. The show will tell real life stories from the Lebanese society.       

The show’s reports will shed the light on the problems and concerns of people who will open “a new page” in their lives with LBCI that will share with them their most intense moments and the change in the course of their lives.        


Lebanese series “Al-Qinaa” (The Mask)
      

The new Lebanese series “Al-Qinaa” (The Mask) that was filmed between Lebanon and Africa will start as of August 22 starring star Georges Chalhoub as “Majdi”, a rich man who works in real estate and is exposed to an explosion in Africa. The news of his death reaches his wife “Nahed” played by Carmen Lebbos, his family, friends and partner Achraf played by Georges Khabbaz.            

The series’ events develop in a mixture of romance, thrill and action, revealing the truth behind Majdi’s killing while his friend Achraf and his wife Nahed were getting closer to each other.        
“Al-Qinaa” will be aired from Monday to Friday after the evening news bulletin.

Turkish series “Ochq wa Jazaa”


The star of hit Turkish series “Assi” is back as a prince in the new Turkish series “Ochq wa Jazaa”. The prince comes back from the United States where he traveled to flee his clan’s habits and traditions. However, he had to come to become the clan’s “Agha” and to face another clan.  

On the other hand, famous Turkish actress known by “Jawaher” in the role of “Yasmine” that discovers her fiancé’s treason with her friend.   “Oshq wa Jawaher” will be aired as of August 20 at 11 pm and two episodes every Monday at 9:30 pm.
