Tenenti to NNA: UNIFIL closely following up on developments in Lebanon and region
UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti said on Wednesday that the UNIFIL is closely following up on the developments in Lebanon and the region.

Tenenti’s comments were made during an interview with the state-run National News Agency whereby he stressed the importance of guaranteeing security and stability along the Blue Line.
“The UNIFIL is actively working with the parties on the ground to achieve this purpose,” he added.

He also noted that UNIFIL’s soldiers work along the Lebanese armed forces, day and night, all along the Blue Line, adding that the UNIFIL Commander General Stefano Del Col is in full contact with all parties to prevent any misunderstanding or incidents that could jeopardize the cessation of hostilities.
Teneti concluded by saying that he is urging all parties “to exercise maximum restraint, in words and deeds.”
