Maher Meqdad arrested, second Turkish detainee released
The Lebanese Army declared on Thursday evening that they arrested the official spokesman of the Meqdad clan, Maher al-Meqdad, following raid operations in the Americans Street in Beirut Southern Suburb.          

Separately, the General Security received the second Turkish detainee Abdel Baset Reslan, who was kidnapped in Choueifat.                  

In this context, the Turkish ambassador stressed from outside the General Security building, that Reslan is in good health, reiterating his gratitude to the Lebanese authorities for his release.              

For his part, Reslan denied that he was tortured, expressing his gratitude to the Lebanese authorities for its efforts, and hoping that the Lebanese hostages in Syria will be freed soon.
