Electoral law tops Wednesday meeting between Speaker, lawmakers
The long-simmering electoral law topped talks held Wednesday during the weekly periodic meeting between House Speaker, Nabih Berri, and Deputies, who confirmed the former's clinging to finalizing this matter in the nearest time possible.

"Some are seeking to delay [the endorsement] of this law," lawmakers quoted the Speaker as saying., the NNA reported

Within this context, Berri confirmed a sub-committee would be formed tomorrow Thursday during the joint committees' session.

"This sub-committee is not entitled to make decisions. Its mission is rather relevant to legislation and contact, and decisions herein are taken via agreement or unanimity," he said.

Separately, Berri met today with former Deputy Farid Hakal Khazen, with talks featuring high on most recent developments.
