Hezbollah: Dar El Fatwa summit is a national accomplishment

Hezbollah regarded the spiritual Christian-Muslim Summit held in Dar El Fatwa on Tuesday as an important event that sent a clear message about the national tenets and stressed the importance of both peaceful coexistence and protecting the nation.

Hezbollah said that the statement issued following the summit is similar to a national charter that reflects the will of the Lebanese people.

“The statement reveals what slogans are harmful to Lebanon, minimizes their impact on domestic affairs and reduces their influence on foreign countries”, Hezbollah added.

Hezbollah emphasized that the summit was an accomplishment since it successfully gathered religious figures from all sects forming the Lebanese fabric in Dar El Fatwa, a noteworthy location, at a time when a sea of change is taking the region by storm.  

“By refusing resettlement [of Palestinians living abroad] and all forms of foreign interference, the summit proved to be the example of patriotism”, Hezbollah said, adding that the Lebanese are in dire need of such an example that will pave the way to a life free of foreign tutelage.

Hezbollah hoped that the message behind the summit will return those lost and confused to the right path, praising the religious figures who took part in the summit, for their constructive stances necessary at this critical yet historical juncture in Lebanon and the Middle East.
