Italy and EU support Lebanon's stability

Italy's Deputy Foreign Minister Stefan de Mistura said on Wednesday after meeting Speaker Nabih Berri that his country is "certain that the Lebanese people will overcome the obstacles caused by the crisis in the region, stressing that Italy and the European Union support Lebanon's stability."

Separately, Berri sent a telegram to President Barack Obama to congratulate him for his reelection as US president, emphasizing that "Lebanon looks forward to US support".
