ABL meets visiting IMF delegation
The Board of Directors of the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL) met on Friday with the International Monetary Fund delegation visiting Lebanon, with discussions tackling the proposed rescue plan, including the restructuring of the banking sector.

The Association of Banks stressed the need to work to protect the deposits in any plan agreed upon in order to preserve basic private wealth and re-launch the wheel of growth.

It also explained to the delegation the importance of pressing for the implementation of the reform path, which constitutes a fundamental pillar and an irreplaceable priority to exit the current crisis.

It affirmed its full and permanent cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, in the interest of depositors, citizens and the country.
