Candidate Kamil Mourani to LBCI: The political class worked to impoverish people in Tripoli
Candidate for the Maronite seat in the northern city of Tripoli Kamil Mourani stressed on Tuesday that the recovery plan should be nationwide, not only for Tripoli.
 
Mourani’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show on LBCI, whereby he emphasized “the need of conducting a state asset inventory, merging banks, approving capital control, and establishing administrative decentralization,” noting that the ration card project should be part of the rescue plan for Lebanon, not the entire plan, in order to get out of the tragic situation with the least possible damage.
 
“The political class has worked to impoverish the people in Tripoli for years,” the candidate stated, adding that the solutions are simple, but they need a willpower and decision.
 
On another note, Mourani has urged for a transparent investigation of the Tripoli boat capsizing by a third party.
