Inmate strangles himself to death

An inmate, 40 years of age and identified as G.S., committed suicide by hanging himself in one of Roumieh Prison’s toilets located in bloc B, using a woolen shawl.

The prisoner, who was already sentenced to death had previously attempted to kill himself twice while he was imprisoned in Bloc D.

LBCI sources revealed that the reasons behind the suicide are psychological.
