Abou Ghaida issues arrest warrant in absentia against Mamlouk

First Military Investigative Judge Riyad Abou Ghaida issued on Monday an arrest warrant in absentia against Syrian Maj. Gen. Ali Mamlouk who is accused of planning assassination plots in Lebanon with former Minister Michel Samaha.

The interrogations were thus closed and the file was referred to the Military General Prosecution.

Samaha, Syrian Security Bureau head Ali Mamlouk and a Syrian army officer identified as Brig. Gen. Adnan were charged on August 11th 2012 with plotting to assassinate political and religious figures in Lebanon and carrying out terrorist attacks.
