Rai meets with Russia’s Duma President, discusses latest developments

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rai said on Friday from Moscow that most of the Lebanese people refuse holding the parliamentary elections on the basis of the 1960’s electoral law.

Throughout his visit, Patriarch Rai met Russia's Duma President Sergey Naryshkin and discussed with him the latest developments in the region

For his part, Sergey Naryshkin praised Rai’s stances pertaining to the Lebanese situation as well as the Middle East.

As for the Syrian file, Narychkine pointed out that Russia will provide aid to the displaced Syrians in Lebanon.
