US urges Israel to avoid attacking Beirut Airport following heavy strikes

The United States urged Israel to refrain from launching any attacks on Beirut's Airport or the roads leading to it.

However, the Israeli army continued its 'military strikes against Hezbollah in Beirut's southern suburbs.'

Matthew Miller, U.S. State Department spokesperson, emphasized the importance of keeping the airport and its access routes open to allow safe passage for American citizens and foreign nationals wishing to leave Lebanon.
