President Sleiman: Targeting civilians in Syria is unacceptable

President Michel Sleiman condemned the explosion that targeted the Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halki Monday and the car bomb attack near the Ministry of Interior in Damascus which occurred on Tuesday.

He stressed that targeting civilians will not solve the crisis, reiterating his call to hold a national dialogue session between all Syrian factions to reach a political solution.

On Lebanon, President Sleiman met with Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra and tackled with him the latest developments, mainly the upcoming parliamentary elections and the drafting of an electoral law.

He also held meetings with Minister of Culture Gaby Layyoun and former minister Adnan Kassar.
