Israeli army claims it killed local Hezbollah member in Al-Mansouri, South Lebanon

The Israeli army claimed it killed a Hezbollah member in an airstrike in the village of Al-Mansouri in south Lebanon, according to a statement posted by Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army spokesperson for Arab media, on X.

In his post, Adraee said the army “eliminated the ‘terrorist’ Muhammad Ali Shuweikh,” whom he described as a Hezbollah operative. 

He added that Shuweikh “served as a local representative of Hezbollah in the village of Al-Mansouri,” and was responsible for managing the group’s relationship with residents on “military and economic matters.”

Adraee also claimed that Shuweikh “worked to seize private property for terrorist purposes.”

He said Hezbollah’s activities in the area constituted “a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” adding that the army “will continue to act to remove any threat and protect the State of Israel.”
