Israeli army claims 250 militants killed, over 1,000 weapons seized in South Lebanon operations

The Israeli army claimed its forces have killed more than 250 Hezbollah fighters and seized over 1,000 weapons during ongoing operations in southern Lebanon.

In a post on X, Israeli army spokesperson Ella Waweya said combat units operating under the 162nd Division continue offensive operations south of what the army describes as a forward defense line, aimed at removing what it calls a direct threat to northern Israeli communities.

According to the statement, Israeli forces have also destroyed more than 405 Hezbollah infrastructure sites in the area.

During one of the operations, troops reportedly found body cameras belonging to Hezbollah members, which the army said contained footage used for propaganda purposes.

The statement added that the military will continue to act “decisively to remove threats, maintain the security of Israeli citizens, and reinforce the forward defense line.’’
