Israeli army issues urgent warning to South Lebanon residents amid ceasefire

The Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an urgent warning to residents of South Lebanon, urging them to avoid movement in the mentioned areas despite the ongoing ceasefire.

In a statement, the army said it continues to maintain positions in South Lebanon during the truce, citing what it described as ongoing activities by Hezbollah.

Residents were warned not to move south of a designated line of villages or to approach sensitive areas, including the Litani River, Wadi Slouqi, and Salhani.

The statement also explicitly prohibited the return to dozens of towns and villages across the south, including Naqoura, Bint Jbeil, Maroun al-Ras, Aita al-Shaab, Mays al-Jabal, and Kfarkela, among many others.

The Israeli army said the measures are intended to ensure civilian safety, adding that the restrictions remain in place "until further notice."
