Caretaker Minister Abboud to LBCI: Extending parliament's mandate jeopardizes Christians rights

Caretaker Minister of Tourism Fadi Abboud slammed Friday the extension of the parliament's mandate saying that it aims at "depriving the Lebanese Christians their essential rights."

He also noted during a phone call with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show that parliament failed to draft an electoral law during its 4 year-old-term.

"Some groups reached power at parliament through a tailored electoral law, and are now hijacking the decision of an entire nation citing the security situation as a pretext for their motives," he added.
