Iran allows visa-free entry for Lebanese citizens for short visits

Iran’s Embassy in Beirut announced that Lebanese citizens holding ordinary passports will now be able to travel to Iran for tourism or religious visits once every six months without a visa.

Under the new arrangement, travelers will be permitted to stay in Iran for up to 15 days, effective from May 22, 2026.

In a statement, the embassy clarified that those traveling for purposes other than tourism or religious visits, as well as those intending to stay longer than 15 days or enter Iran more than once within a six-month period, will still be required to obtain a visa.

It added that visas must be secured through Iranian diplomatic missions abroad or upon arrival at Iranian international airports, depending on eligibility.
