Israeli army warns residents of Zaqouq al-Mafdi in southern Lebanon to evacuate

Israel’s military spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an urgent warning on Monday calling on residents in the village of Zaqouq al-Mafdi in Lebanon to evacuate immediately, according to a post on X.

In the statement, Adraee said the warning was issued “in light of Hezbollah’s violation of the ceasefire agreement,” adding that Israeli forces were preparing to act against the group and “do not intend to harm civilians.”

He urged residents to leave their homes immediately and move north of the Zahrani River “for their safety.”

The warning also said that anyone near Hezbollah members, facilities, or weapons would be putting their lives at risk.
