Zasypkin reiterates Moscow’s support for STL

Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasypkin said that it is mandatory for Lebanon to prioritize its security and stability and avoid what it is going on in Syria.

Zasypkin reiterated his country’s support for the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) and international legitimacy, hoping that the concerned parties will boost efforts in order to reach a solution concerning its funding.

“Moscow endorses the Arab League’s plan on Syria and calls for its implementation as soon as possible in order to establish a dialogue between the regime and the opposition”.
Zasypkin said that the success of this initiative depends on the Syrian opposition’s response.
