PLO official: Stopping UNRWA funding entails significant political and humanitarian risks

The Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein al-Sheikh, affirmed in a post on X on Saturday that the decision of some countries to stop funding the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) "entails significant political and humanitarian risks."

He said, "We demand that the countries that have announced the cessation of their support for UNRWA immediately reconsider their decision."
