Monitor says Israel strikes Syrian army positions near Damascus

Israel struck Syrian army weapons depots on Sunday near the Mazzeh military airport on the outskirts of Damascus, a war monitor told AFP.

"Israeli strikes targeted positions of the Fourth Division of the Syrian army near the Mazzeh military airport," said Rami Abdel Rahman, who heads the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor, adding that the targets included weapons depots.
