REPORT: Number of Syrian opposition fighters raises controversy

Conflicting reports have been emerging regarding the actual number of the Syrian opposition’s fighters.

While western reports estimate that the armed rebels’ number reached one hundred thousand gunmen, Syrian reports issued by sources close to the Syrian opposition say that there are around 150 thousand gunmen fighting against the Syrian army.

This controversy is due mainly to the number of Jihadists who join the opposition.
