REPORT: 16th EPP Interreligious Dialogue opens in Nicosia, Cyprus

The 16th EPP Group Annual Interreligious Dialogue organized by The European Peoples' Party Group at the European Parliament (EPP) opened in Nicosia on Thursday, Ansa reported.

Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides delivered a speech whereby he said tensions have flared up across the region, warning against any attempt to undermine Christian minorities in Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon.

He also called on the European Union to take all needed measures in this regard.
