REPORT: Caretaker Minister Aridi submits his resignation

Caretaker Public Works and Transportation Minister Ghazi Aridi submitted his resignation on Monday from the caretaker government, pointing out that he was under a lot of pressure, and he respects the points of view of all Lebanese officials.

Aridi’s comments were made during a press conference in which he noted that he received conflicting reports over whether rain drains had been cleaned.

This comes as caretaker Public Works Minister Ghazi Aridi arrived earlier to the Justice Palace to brief Financial Prosecutor Ali Ibrahim over his accusations against Minister of Finance Mohammed Safadi

Last week, Caretaker Minister Ghazi Aridi accused caretaker Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi of mismanagement in a press conference where he publicly apologized to the Lebanese people over the failure to clear sewage drains across the country before winter on December 4th, leaving citizens stranded for hours in their cars as the water level in the second tunnel on the airport road was one and a half meter high, blocking both sides of the highway.
