REPORT: Arsal residents express shock after LAF seize booby-trapped car driven by woman
Arsal residents remain "in a shock" after the Lebanese Armed Forces intercepted on Wednesday a booby-trapped vehicle entering Lebanon through the border town of Arsal.

The Kia Rio, driven by a woman accompanied by two others, was dismantled by the LAF in the region of Labwe.

The family of the driver, Joumana Hamid, refused to speak to the media while Arsal mayor Ali Hojeiri told LBCI that yesterday's incident comes in line with attempts to target the town on the security level.

"Since the onset of the Syrian crisis, Arsal's residents have been backing the Syrian revolution while receiving thousands of refugees," he said, adding however that they do not support terrorist organizations.
