REPORT: Former ISF chief Rifi emerges as obstacle facing cabinet formation

Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced the cabinet's resignation on Friday March 22, after talks deadlocked over the extension of Internal Security Forces chief Major General Ashraf Rifi's mandate and the formation of an Election Supervisory Committee.

Ten months after the resignation, the same name emerges as new obstacle facing the formation of the upcoming cabinet.

This report will shed light on the obstacles facing the formation of the new government.
