REPORT: Lebanese man kills his wife in Australia's Sydney

Police in Sydney accused a Lebanese national of killing his wife on Monday night in the city of Bankstown, the state-run National News Agency reported on Tuesday, noting that the police refused to release him on bail.

The man was identified as George Tannous, 55, and his wife Margaret, 47.

Medics transported the victim to hospital where she died of severe head injuries.

Margaret Tannous is a mother of two and the reasons behind the murder are yet to be determined.
