REPORT: Tricom contract workers stage sit-in outside EDL building

Tricom contract workers staged on Monday morning a sit-in outside the Electricite du Liban building to protest against delays in salary payments, the state-run National News Agency reported.

On Thursday, contract workers of the service provider company Tricom also held a sit-in at the premises of Lebanon's electricity company, Electricite du Liban in Beirut's Cornishe al-Naher, calling on the administration to grant them advance payments.

The protesters declared an open strike until their demands are met.
