REPORT: Investigations with Saudi detainees ongoing

Investigations continued on Tuesday with Saudi Prince Abdel Mohsen Bin al-Waleed Bin Abdel Mohsen Bin Abdel Aziz Al Saud and his 4 companions who were arrested at Beirut International Airport on charges of possessing and attempting to smuggle almost 2 tons of Captagon pills.

Sources reported that the Toyota pick-up truck, which delivered the Captagon pills into the possession of one of the prince’s companion, had a fake registration plate number.

Earlier today, Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awad Asiri visited Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq without discussing the case of the Saudi arrestees.

Asiri noted that he would leave this issue to the Lebanese judiciary to act accordingly.
