Introduction to the evening news 09-12-2012

The first batch of the bodies of the Lebanese who were killed in Talkalakh ambush were delivered today to Lebanese state.

Menieh, Doniyeh and Mankoubin witnessed the funerals of 3 of them while the Supreme Defense Council convened in Baabda to discuss a solution to the deteriorated security situation in Tripoli, as the city witnessed  violent clashes during the night and rockets hit several streets outside the battles zones.    

While officials failed to control the situation in Tripoli, the cabinet will convene tomorrow at the Baabda Palace while the Syndicate Coordination Committee will organize a symbolic protest and will declare a general strike on Wednesday if the cabinet won’t endorse the ranks and salaries pay scale and refer to the parliament to be ratified.  

In Syria, Israeli reports claimed that the intelligence has been monitoring the chemical armament of the Syrian Army since 5 years and knows exactly where the arms are stored.  

The reports added that a unit of Israeli commandos is inside the Syrian territories to monitor the chemical weapons.  

In Egypt, the opposition and Morsi’s supporters entered a new chapter after Morsi met one of the opposition's demands overnight, rescinding his Nov. 22 decrees that gave him near unrestricted powers but without postponing the date of the constitutional referendum set for Dec. 15.
