REPORT: Algeria hosts “Mediterranean Forest Week” for environmental awareness

Algeria is planting an area of 60 thousand hectares of trees each year, in order to increase the green spaces, while the survival of these forests in the country and in other Mediterranean countries faces many dangers. This event comes within the third “Mediterranean Forest Week” held in Algeria, after it was previously held in Turkey and France, and aims at developing environmental awareness.              

This report will expose the dangers threatening the forests in the countries situated along the Mediterranean Sea, as well as the importance of the governments’ role in raising awareness to protect the natural wealth.
