Putin: Russia will not become a target for Islamic extremists

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that his country will not become a target for Islamic extremists.

Putin's statement comes after at least 144 people were killed near Moscow in a shooting incident claimed by ISIS about two weeks ago.

Putin said in a statement broadcast on television, "We have every reason to believe that the main goal of those who ordered this terrible bloody terrorist act in Moscow is to harm our unity."
