REPORT: Two Lebanese soldiers killed in roadside bomb in Arsal
Two Lebanese Armed Forces soldiers were killed on Friday when a roadside bomb targeted a military personnel carrier belonging to the sixth regiment, in an attack in the northeastern border town of Arsal.

Four LAF soldiers were also wounded in the attack that took place in Arsal's Wadi Hmeid.

The victims who were all on board the truck were taken to the Rahma hospital.

The Lebanese Armed Forces Airborne Regiment continued raids in the region of Wadi Hmeid in Arsal and managed to arrest a number of Syrian nationals.

In the same context, the Lebanese army targeted movements of the gunmen on the outskirts of Arsal, the state-run National News Agency reported.

Meanwhile, Syrian warplanes shelled locations of armed men in the same area.

Islamist insurgents including militants affiliated to the Islamic State staged a cross-border incursion last month in Arsal, triggering five days of deadly battles.
