Introduction to the evening news 27-06-2012

Symbolically, it is a confrontation between Interior Minister Marwan Charbel and the detained Wissam Alaeddine. As Charbel declared the launch of security plan, friends, relatives and supporters of the detained Wissam Alaeddine kicked off a movement in protest to his arrest. The mean of protest became well known: blocking roads with burning tires, or young people gathering in the middle of the roads.   

This is considered as the security plan’s first challenge. Could this movement be considered as politically covered? How could we explain blocking the airport road after it has been agreed that such act must be banned?                   

The security plan was staggered in its first day of effect: airport road blocked, young people gather in the middle of the roads, while the most dangerous event was Baabda Justice Palace incidents.        

Meanwhile, investigations in the attack on al-Jadeed TV Station are ongoing.         

All these issues were tackled during the cabinet session that witnessed a significant presence of security leaders.
