Jumblatt: Syrian people will sooner or later defeat “ruling mob”

National Struggle Front leader MP Walid Jumblatt announced on Monday that Egypt and the Arab world have witnessed extraordinary historical events in the last two days with the election of Mohammad Morsy as Egypt's president.

In his weekly statement for al-Anbaa daily, Jumblatt said that Morsy will certainly bring about significant changes.

As for the Syrian issue, Jumblatt hoped that some countries that still support the “ruling mob” in Syria will draw lessons from the Egyptian events. He also voiced hope that these countries will allow their citizens to exercise democracy since “the Syrian people will sooner or later defeat and triumph over their rulers.”
